Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

We have an immediate opening for a highly detailed-oriented Human Resources Specialist. A successful candidate must have excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills. They must be a quick learner, resourceful, and willing to perform various duties as assigned and always maintain confidentiality. The Human Resources Specialist also provides administrative support to the Department of Human Resources, including data entry, filing, spreadsheets, data management, and project support.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or similar field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources related field-3 years of previous experience as a project coordinator, business analyst, or similar role
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
  • Professional level writing and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and professional demeanor, with an ability to interact with employees and others at any level within an organization
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent listening and follow-through skills
  • QuickBooks proficiency is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Must be familiar with California State Laws (Nevada and/or Arizona State Laws are a plus)
  • Complete Background Checks
  • Process New Hire Paperwork
  • Process all termination paperwork
  • Prepare a response to all EDD, SDI, and PFL claims for review
  • Create a report of all new hires and terminations for review
  • Conduct exit interviews and create an employee separation trend analysis report for review
  • Collect and prepare all FMLA, CFRA, and PFL requests for review
  • Respond to verification of employment requests
  • Responsible for keeping track of all messengers’ driver license and insurance information
  • Prepare and submit all health reports for review and processing
  • Process all health enrollment and termination requests through Benefits System
  • Track/audit all vacation and sick requests
  • Assist with Workers’ Compensation/Incident Report claims
