Description:

We are looking for an administrative powerhouse to join our team as the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator. This is a fixed-term role primarily based in Te Awamutu.
You’ll be undertaking a variety of HR duties from coordinating daily functions such supporting the induction and onboarding processes for our new employees, ensuring our employee documentation is 100% tickety-boo, through to applying our staff value and appreciation, and clothing policies.
Whilst in-depth HR and H&S legislative knowledge is not required, some previous experience in the HR or H&S fields would be beneficial. We are super keen on someone who is responsive, organised and knows how to prioritise! You’ll be fastidious, someone who dots those i’s and crosses those t’s; and with all of that, we expect you’ll be a star at navigating systems.
Ultimately, you will be pivotal in working across our busy team, facilitating, adapting and responding as required, in a way that demonstrates our values. We’re all about enhancing our employees’ experience here at Waipā District Council so we view change and innovation as something to celebrate. This isn’t a job for the faint-hearted but definitely a job for someone who enjoys being part of an awesome team and organisation.
