DESCRIPTION

Supporting Human Resources Business Partners located at various offices.

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of administrative systems to support HR functions (monthly reports, employee files).
  • Assist with Benefits administration and communication.
  • Liaise with internal partners (Operations, Payroll, Benefits, Pensions).
  • Assist in the recruitment & selection process.
  • Assist HR Consultants with WSIB and Disability Claims Management.
  • Coordination and maintenance of internal programs (Attendance Awareness, Referral Reward).
  • Assist with special projects/initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of communication, innovation, change management, relationship building, and leadership.
  • Post-secondary HR related Degree/Diploma/Certificate or equivalent HR related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work both independently and within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation - ability to effectively communicate HR initiatives, functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong Computer skills - MS Office, experience with SAP is a definite asset.
  • Previous experience working in a unionized environment is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
