Requisition Summary
The Peterbilt Division local HR department is looking for a motivated, result-oriented, and technical savvy Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to join the local HR team at our division office in Denton, TX. The HR Coordinator will split their time between HR, Recruiting, and administrative duties that support the HR department and overall Peterbilt division office. The ideal candidate is able to work 7:00am – 4:00pm CST, a team player, adaptable to changing priorities, and has a drive to learn.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assist employees with basic, ad hoc HR questions.
  • Provide department administrative support including HRIS entry.
  • Manage the mailroom for Peterbilt Division and Peterbilt Plant.
  • Coordinate drug screens and background checks.
  • Complete monthly audits (i.e., employee files, I-9’s, etc.)
  • Manage organizational charts.
  • Provide back-up support to HR colleagues as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience required. HR/recruiting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, proven customer service, attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; professional demeanor and comfort working with all levels of management and in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality; must be dependable and able to prioritize competing priorities.
  • Technical aptitude including working experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), SharePoint, and Applicant Tracking Systems. SAP experience preferred.
  • Creative and strategic problem solver.
  • Understands basic employment law, including EEO and OFCCP.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
