Job Description:
Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates In transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center. A dual enrollment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well.
Paul D. Camp Community College (PDCC) seeks a strategic and accomplished professional to manage Human Resources for the college. The primary responsibilities include:
- administration, management and analysis of PDCC’s human resource information systems
- administration, management and supervision of payroll and benefits
- classification and compensation analyses
- recruitment and selection processes
- diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
- policy development and implementation
- organizational development and workforce planning
- training and professional development
- worker’s compensation
- legal compliance
- position management
- records retention
- employee relations
Minimum Qualifications:
A combination of experience and education in human resources, business administration or a related field that provides the required level of knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the funcitons of the job.Preferred Qualifications:
Significant, recent and progressive work experience in human resources. Work experience with a state agency, especially the VCCS. Experience working with PeopleSoft, PeopleAdmin and Avature systems. Considerable experience with Department of Human Resource Management’s policies, procedures and guidelines. Human Resources degrees and certifications.
