WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Human Resources Director - Americas will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function within the Americas organization. This role will involve developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the region’s goals and objectives. The HR Director will lead a team of HR professionals and collaborate with senior leadership to ensure effective strategies for talent management, workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Our preferred candidate will have prior experience in the AEC (architectural, engineering and construction) industry, and an interest in working in a dynamic global design environment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of visa sponsorship processes and requirements is required.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a thought partner to the Americas Region Board; influence and drive key business decisions.
  • Promote inclusion in the workplace and reinforce position as an equal opportunity employer. Ensure hiring, onboarding and management procedures are effective for diverse groups.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and reinforce the Company’s Mission, Values and Purpose.
  • Determine, recommend, and implement employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee engagement.
