JOB DESCRIPTION
Akelius is seeking an adaptable and highly organized Human Resources Generalist to join the team.
The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating across departments on projects and can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager,
the Generalist supports the team by contributing to a variety of key HR functions.
- assist with all internal and external HR-related matters
- ensure personnel files are consistent and compliant
- facilitate onboarding, orientation, and training of new staffas well as employee offboarding
- participate in creating organizational guidelines and procedures
- recommend strategies for employee engagement
- stay abreast of latest HR trends and best practices
- ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource local law requirements
- research health and safety practices and suggest improvements or modifications to existing policies
- assist with the full-cycle recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts
- create documents, spreadsheets, and support with HR reporting and metrics as required
- update HR databases (e.g., new hires, separations, promotions, vacation, and sick leaves)
- maintain employee records
- process employee requests and provide relevant information
- prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures
- prepare reports and presentations for internal communications
- partner with HR team members on ad hoc projects and daily tasks
- perform other duties as assigned
