Description:

ON/OFFBOARDING:

  • Assist with the paperwork for smooth new-hire onboarding and exiting employee processes, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS – UKG).
  • Conducts or acquires background checks, may assist with credentialing
  • Assist with the paperwork for smooth offboarding process for exiting employee, to ensure compliance with COBRA and separation notices including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS – UKG).
  • Maintain and update employee records and ensure they meet legal requirements
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance, including Immigration, Cobra and Everify.

RECRUITING AND STAFFING:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including updating job descriptions
  • Partner with the recruiting team to identify potential candidates, sources and process improvements

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with a drive to solve problems
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
  • Collaborative and a team-player
  • Basic knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • HRIS and talent management system knowledge is required, UKG is preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of successful HR experience.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP or related professional designations preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
