Overview:
Itochu Building Products (IBP) Holdings has an immediate need for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist. IBP is comprised of Master Halco, Alta Forest Products, and US Premier Tube Mills making IBP the largest and leading manufacturer and wholesale distributor of fencing products in North America.
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for providing support in planning and administering multiple human resources activities for the organization. The position will assist in several HR areas including, but not limited to, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, and employee relations, as well as serving as an advisor to the organization.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources OR combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of HR experience
  • Proven experience in HR Generalist role
  • Proficient in employee benefits and compensation administration
  • Working knowledge of Recruiting, Payroll, Employee Relations and Learning & Development
  • Solid experience and understanding of HRIS, Benefits Enrollment, and other web-based systems; Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus
  • Computer Skills: MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

    Physical Demands: This job requires the ability to sit, stand, lift and/or move.
    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Monday through Friday 8 hours a day; at times more than 8 hours.
    Travel: Minimal

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to:
  • changes to employee data, immigration processes and visa applications, internal communications, recognition, HR budgeting, and creating and measuring HR metrics
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors
  • Provide exceptional customer service to HR, employees, managers, and vendors answering questions in a timely manner and resolving issues related to benefit plan eligibility and enrollment, and HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefit and compensation programs
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes, to include communication strategies and employee education
  • Manage all disability and leave of absence requests such as FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, personal and medical

  • Assist employees and maintains records relative to benefits, 401K, COBRA, and qualifying life events

  • Compile data, generate and distribute reports as required to support compliance, compensation, system administration and other internal/external reporting requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigne
