Description:

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field OR commensurate work experience of a minimum of 4 years actively involved in human resources, compensation/benefits, learning and development, or other directly related function.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Works with HR Manager on the preparation and distribution of performance and compensation reviews
  • Participates when needed in terminations and investigations as assigned
  • Reviews HIPAA and other violations and advises managers on appropriate action
  • Reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance
  • Reviews and files workers compensation claims and provides follow-up information as needed
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies to comply with all federal, state and local employment laws
  • Participates in meetings with brokers to ensure benefit plans in place are the best fit for our employees
  • Works closely with the Benefits Specialist to process employee benefit information and assist with benefit enrollment processes
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to employees and managers seeking guidance and support on a variety of business and personal issues
  • Enters payroll changes for staff and audits changes for accuracy
  • Serves as an Assistant Administrator for GT’s HRIS system and assists with new implementation processes
  • Performs compensation analyses for current and new positions
  • Maintains job descriptions and scorecards
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the HR department
  • Maintains confidentiality of records
