    The Hansen’s Group of Companies is seeking a well-rounded, detailed oriented and dedicated Human Resources Generalist (ON-SITE) to join its corporate HR team in Scarborough, Ontario.
    Reporting to the Director, Human Resources for Canada and USA, this position shall maintain an effective level of work ethics, professionalism, and commitment. This position coordinates a high volume of information while providing support to employees on related HR matters.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and other relevant applications.
  • Ability to create quality documentation and communications.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage employee data, identify gaps and support continuous improvement.
  • Ability to abide by Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Confidentiality and maintain privacy of employee information.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College Diploma or degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum 2 years recent of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in quality documentation, relationship building and research skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers for recruitment (open job postings, conduct backchecks, prepare employment offers).
  • Maintain the Truck Right Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as the primary job board.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and status in Truck Right (LMS) for USA Employees and HR Downloads (LMS) for Canada.
  • Deploy compliance e-learning trainings to New Hires and various target audience.
  • Provide monthly training reports to Business Leaders from Truck Right and HR Downloads.
  • Prepare various standard written human resources correspondence based on company policies and update records to employee files.
  • Monitor the JHSC Training/Recertification database and initiate training as required.
  • Maintain updated employee files and retention.
  • Conduct Health & Safety Inspections and implement approved corrective actions.
  • Audit of Notice Boards across all locations for compliance Postings.
  • Provide support with various Human Resources Programs. Quarterly 50/50 Employee/Charity Event, Annual Scholarship Program, Annual Employee Service Awards, Annual Employee Performance Reviews, other key HR projects/programs.
  • Support with Year End activities to ensure adherence to company and compliance deadlines.
  • Provide support as required in other areas of the department as directed.
