PRIOR PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION/PROCESSING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED; ONLY THOSE CANDIDATES WITH PAYROLL EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED*

Position Objective:
The part-time Human Resources Generalist position serves as a human resources support associate in addition to the processor of bi-weekly employee payroll. This role performs a variety of functions to include (but not limited to) compilation, preparation & submission of bi-weekly payroll, personnel file management/auditing, coordination of employee onboarding/offboarding, assisting with new hire orientation/preparation, revision of forms/documents, employee performance review & attendance tracking, training portal management & employee administration within the HRIS system.
This position also assists in the planning, coordination & execution of programs, events & initiatives in conjunction with the DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access), Employee Engagement & Wellness, Trauma-informed Workforce Committees and other agency events as assigned. Finally, this role assists with other generalist responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the Human Resources Partner.

TRAINING/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors’ degree in human resources, business administration or similar degree; significant experience in relevant areas may substitute for degree; SHRM-SP or SHRM-CP designation or willingness to obtain certification preferred. Prior payroll processing experience utilizing Bamboo, ADP, Kronos or similar product required.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a generalist in a multi-faceted, fast-paced human resources department with prior payroll processing experience required
  • Prior experience within a non-profit or social services organization a plus
  • Ability to accurately input & upload data within the HRIS system and complete varied generalist/administrative tasks
  • Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred
  • Certified Trauma-informed Professional Certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws set by governing authorities and organizations
  • Proficient in HRIS software programs, preferably Bamboo or similar software package
  • Experienced in all Microsoft Office applications including ability to master required database tracking systems

Responsibilities:

General HR Functions/Tasks:

  • Maintain & audit employee files in accordance with local, state & federal regulations
  • Complete employee changes/updates, note entry, document upload and other tasks in Bamboo
  • Coordinate employee onboarding/offboarding
  • Assist with new hire orientation
  • Serve as a resource for employee questions/concerns
  • Assist with performance management & attendance tracking
  • Complete requests for employment verification
  • Schedule benefit meetings
  • Update documents/forms; maintain HR drive
  • Compile & distribute annual holiday PTO calenda
