QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • One to three years of administrative experience in an HR capacity.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.
  • Strong understanding of provincial and federal requirements and regulations.
  • Experience administering employee benefit and pension plans, recruitment and reward plans an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Support to Human Resources Business Partners for general employee and management relations, i.e. offers of employment, termination packages, job description development, training administration, performance management, etc.
  • Ensures policies and procedures comply with changing laws and regulations and meets organizations objectives.
  • Efficiently and effectively assist in talent acquisition activities and projects.
  • Conducts new employee orientations to ensure an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Maintains employee data within Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Coordinates applicable employee policy payments through finance/payroll including PPE reimbursement, health and wellness reimbursement, employee referral program payments, education & tuition reimbursements, etc.
  • Partnering with team members to develop and execute health and wellness program initiatives.
  • Assists with administration of employee programs including service award program.
  • Assist with HR communications and training of managers and employees on new programs, systems and processes as required.
