JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting and carrying out the HR function for employees and managers for their designated business unit. This position is responsible for establishing a partnership with managers and employees that is rooted in a customer service based approach; aligning business objectives, HR operations, and Lulus’ core values.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of the day-to-day HR administration within the designated business unit, acting as the HR point-of-contact for employee and management alike.
  • Work closely with the HR Coordinator on the onboarding process, including providing support and oversight as needed on coordinating new hire orientation, presenting new hire orientation, educating new employees on company policies, and new hire data entry into HRIS.
  • Responsible for administering leaves of absence in accordance with company policy and state and federal guidelines, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, Covid-19, personal leave, etc. for established business unit.
  • Partner with management and senior HR leadership on establishing accommodations under ADA and worker’s compensation compliance guidelines as needed.
  • Work closely with management to address employee performance, conduct, and safety issues as they arise.
  • Conduct employee investigations into potential policy violations, including conducting investigation interviews, maintaining documentation, and recommending and providing resolutions.
  • Assist management with the administration of the disciplinary process for employees.
  • Execute voluntary and involuntary employee termination procedures including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to, delivering their final wages and answering any questions they may have
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs in a timely, accurate, and engaging manner.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Complete federal and state compliance forms in a timely manner.
  • Assist with unemployment compensation and claims, attending unemployment hearings as necessary.
  • Promote a strong sense of teamwork by working effectively, respectfully, and efficiently with all employees.
  • Other duties and centralized projects as assigned.
