Description:

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • College Degree, preferably in Human Resource Management or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in Recruiting and/or Training.
  • Working knowledge of employment practices and applicable State and Federal employment laws.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS databases.
  • Able to utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools. Experience with Camtasia and/or Articulate preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong, effective, and diplomatic interpersonal skills with employees of all levels and to participate effectively as a team player; excellent oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and work with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities; possess problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to come to work on time and daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Functions:

  • Provides timely and complete customer service to employees and visitors.
  • Coordinate recruitment of qualified applicants through such sources as internal candidates for promotion, online advertisements, referrals, universities, and attending various job fairs; coordinate employment references, criminal background checks, and new hire file management.
  • Conduct biweekly onboarding sessions conveying company policies, procedures, and benefit information.
  • Conceive, design, and develop training and educational programs for employees; schedule, coordinate, and promote employee training programs.
  • Remains cross-trained with other functions within the Human Resources department to include payroll related functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions & Contact with Others

  • Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard work, constant sitting, and phone work. Must be able to navigate multiple screens. Work in excess of 40 hours per week, including evenings and occasional weekends, to meet business need.
  • Internally with all departments, members of the leadership team, and employees with frequently confidential information.
