Job Summary: The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide variety of HR activities for the Mexico entity, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with federal and local labor laws. This role contributes to fostering a positive and productive work environment and advises managers and supervisors on all Mexico HR practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, remote team environment
  • Ability to effectively interact with and influence all organizational levels
  • Able to work independently while prioritizing and multi-tasking to meet deadlines
  • Experience developing and managing company-wide programs
  • Knowledge of Mexico labor laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems
  • Skilled in electronic communications and Microsoft Office Suite

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in human resources, preferably as a generalist
  • Strong integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Customer service focused, able to work both independently and as part of a team

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience with human resources information systems (HRIS)
  • Human Resources Certification, e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based People Operations counterparts to share best practices and maintain consistency
  • Advise and assist management and employees on labor-related issues, such as employment contracts, termination, compensation, and benefits
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, training records, and documentation
  • Handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and follow data protection regulations
  • Manage full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Prepare recruitment metrics reports, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate pipeline
  • Oversee employee benefits administration
  • Assist employees with Employee Self Service access, including password resets or information updates
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including wages, deductions, and benefits
  • Draft, renew, and maintain employment contracts, ensuring compliance
  • Provide support on payroll inquiries and issues
  • Enforce compliance with Mexican labor laws and company policies
  • Regularly review and update processes to align with legal requirements and best practices
  • Other duties as needed to meet business needs
