Description:

We are looking for a diligent Human Resources Generalist to join our team in HONOLULU, Hawaii. The role involves various HR functions including processing payroll, managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes, and handling employee benefits administration. This position is located onsite and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. If interested in this role, please call us at 808-531-0800. Responsibilities:

  • Process and review timesheets in collaboration with the finance department
  • Handle administration of medical benefits, workers compensation, and unemployment insurance
  • Oversee onboarding process, including reviewing paperwork, facilitating onboarding videos, and assisting with new employee requisition
  • Manage employee actions such as new hires, terminations, and promotions
  • Assist in out-processing of separating employees, including conducting exit interviews and collecting company property
  • Facilitate ADA training and manage all related paperwork
  • Assist with tracking and helping employees with 401K enrollment and liaison with record keeper
  • Handle employee requests related to FMLA and TDI
  • Perform duties of a recruiter as needed during peak times
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) to maintain accurate records and perform daily tasks.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
  • Experience in conducting background checks
  • Familiarity with onboarding processes and procedures
  • Ability to handle payroll and benefit functions
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on employee satisfaction
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Professional certification in Human Resources, such as PHR or SHRM-CP, is a plus.
