JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will be part of our Global People Advisory – Complex Queries Team, supporting our employees and managers in North America. Our team consists of six People Advisors (Tier 2) - Complex Queries globally, each dedicated to a specific region. You will handle a variety of complex HR-related queries that have been escalated by the Tier 1 team through ServiceNow tickets. This includes areas like employee relations, absence management, performance management, and general HR inquiries that fall into the grey zone or require a more nuanced approach. You’ll collaborate closely with our broader HR/People function, including the Employee Relations Partner, the HR/People Business Partner, and other People Leadership.

- Provide expert advice, guidance, and support on policies and procedures.
- Manage complex queries related to employee lifecycle activities, including employee relations, absence management, performance management, and more.
- Engage and update colleagues and managers throughout their case management journey.
- Analyze data and trends to identify training needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the wider People Function to drive change and optimize processes.

Location: Hybrid; 2 days per week of in-office collaboration from our new Atlanta office (619 Ponce - March 2025)
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 years experience as a Human Resources Generalist handling a broad range of HR inquiries, including complex and nuanced situations that require interpreting US employment laws and company policies.
- You are known for your effective communication and collaboration skills.
- You can provide examples of your effective collaboration with HR colleagues, from diverse cultural backgrounds, to achieve a common goal.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience in managing sensitive employee matters.
- You can describe a time when you successfully implemented a process improvement that made a positive impact.
- Proficiency with Excel to leverage data, analyze trends, and gain insights to make data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities:
Policy Implementation and Communication
- Provide expert advice on Sage policies and procedures, ensuring they are applied fairly and consistently.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Act as a Tier 2 escalation point within the People Services Advisory team (Shared Services).
- Update and review communications, guides for colleagues and managers, and training documentation according to local legislation and best practices.
Employee Relations
- Support colleagues in employee relations activities, including but not limited to capability, performance, investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, dismissals, absences, and flexible working.
- Manage and create formal communications throughout employee relations processes.
Performance Management Support
- Monitor and evaluate absence trends, promoting early intervention, and escalating trends to employee relations and strategic business partners.
- Identify continuous improvements to simplify processes and enhance the colleague experience.
- Support organizational change programs.
Compliance with Employment/Labor Legislation
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant employment/labor laws and regulations.
- Provide advice to managers on matters related to employment/labor law and HR compliance
