OBJECTIVE SUMMARY: The HR Generalist provides consultative support for workforce issues that impact the overall operational strategy for the core business functions of the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in all HR functional areas, including staffing and retention, employee engagement, workforce safety, employee relations, talent planning, performance management, compensation, benefits, equal employment opportunity, organizational development, and compliance with employment and regulatory requirements.
- Develops strong and supportive relationships with operational leaders
- Partners with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations
- Assists in developing and executing the strategic plan, in collaboration with the HR Manager and organizational leaders
- Responds to employee questions and concerns
- Point of contact for work related injury claims with support from our TPA
- Processes leave of absence requests applying applicable federal and state laws
- Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations
- Represents the company for unemployment claims with support from our TPA
- Facilitates onboarding for new employees including new hire credentialing
- Point of contact for benefits programs; medical, dental, vision, retirement and COBRA
- Assists with maintaining electronic personnel files
- Provides input on HR related policies and procedures
- May participate and represent HR on various committees
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two to three years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably in healthcare or related field
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Background in employment law and other employee compliance regulations
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS: PHR certification preferred
