Description:
We are on the lookout for a skilled Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in the Food & Food Processing industry, located in BOARDMAN, Ohio. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As an HR Assistant, your primary responsibilities will encompass handling administrative tasks related to human resources, including employee enrollment and maintaining digitized employee records.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing open enrollment period in the organization
- Scan and digitize paper files for efficient records management
- Incorporate new and updated employee information into digital files
- Utilize Microsoft office tools, specifically Outlook and Excel, in daily tasks
- Ensure excellent customer service during interactions with staff
- Conduct background checks and other benefit functions as part of HR responsibilities.
- Entry-level role, no previous experience required in the Human Resources field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to handle background checks with confidentiality and precision.
- Experience or the ability to learn benefit functions, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Strong customer service skills, demonstrating the ability to respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and timeliness.
- Knowledge or interest in the food and food processing industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
