POSITION OVERVIEW

Job Title Human Resources (HR) Business Advisor
Location Birmingham
Corporate Title Associate/ Assistant Vice President
Working as part of the United Kingdom & Ireland (UKI) Business Advisory Centre, interacting with a broad spectrum of stakeholders and your allocated client group to provide HR advice and support on people issues, culture change and global processes such as the annual compensation cycle and talent management.
You will work collaboratively with key HR functions to deliver a high quality of service to clients. You will be a key contributor to the development of the Business Advisory Centre through involvement in performance improvement projects and implementation of best practice initiatives across the team.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A depth of experience within HR, proven ability to partner with and provide solutions to challenging client groups as they experience significant change
  • Experience of working within a complex and matrix organisation and experience of developing talent within HR
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with the business and across the HR team to leverage results
  • Experience in managing employee relations cases; as well as complex restructuring initiatives and redundancy cases
  • Proven process mind-set and ability to prioritise and manage high volumes within a high-pressure environment

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the business and Business Partners, in implementing the HR People agenda initiatives; providing advice to employees and managers on people topics and executing lifecycle process tasks both effectively and efficiently
  • Executing change initiatives in new organisational models, restructuring, near shoring and deliverables; also coordinating key projects including diversity and retention initiatives
  • Supporting performance management activity, for example, annual performance reviews, feedback activity and management of underperformance
  • Employee relations cases; including management of investigations, facilitating conversations with respect to conflict/dispute resolution and consequence management
  • Heavily involved in the year-end compensation process, including reviews of fixed and variable pay audit checks, providing advice to the business and running spend analysis
