POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate HR Generalist to support our nursing home’s staffing, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance needs. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a variety of HR functions that ensure a positive work environment for our staff and maintain regulatory compliance.
Human Resources Key Responsibilities:
- Manage recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
- Provide support in employee relations, including addressing inquiries and assisting with conflict resolution
- Assist with payroll and benefits administration
- Coordinate ongoing training sessions to support staff development and compliance
- Support HR initiatives to foster a positive, engaging, and safe workplace culture
Human Resources Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
