POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate HR Generalist to support our nursing home’s staffing, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance needs. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a variety of HR functions that ensure a positive work environment for our staff and maintain regulatory compliance.

Human Resources Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews
  • Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
  • Provide support in employee relations, including addressing inquiries and assisting with conflict resolution
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration
  • Coordinate ongoing training sessions to support staff development and compliance
  • Support HR initiatives to foster a positive, engaging, and safe workplace culture

Human Resources Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
