Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in Cranston, Rhode Island. This role involves overseeing the overall administration of compensation, benefits, performance management, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Manager will coordinate and evaluate the HR function.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy in collaboration with the leadership team, focusing on current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and non-exempt roles.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings and provide guidance on candidate selection.
  • Administer and maintain employee benefits programs by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends, participating in evaluating and negotiating contract bids, and coordinating the design and implementation of educational benefit programs.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR staff, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Oversee training and development activities, including new hire orientations, succession planning, career path programs, and other learning and development initiatives.
  • Participate in developing, recommending, implementing, and communicating company-wide personnel policies and procedures, and revise the employee handbook as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required.
  • Proven experience as a Human Resources Manager in the Manufacturing space.
  • Proficiency in ADP Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, and ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of benefit functions, compliance, employee relations, and hiring processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to create and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
