Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in Faribault, Minnesota. The role primarily entails overseeing all HR functions within the business, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations, and developing and implementing employee training programs.

SKILLS:

  • Experience in employee relations and hiring processes
  • Understanding of Employee Benefit Plan, Employee Engagement, and Employee feedback processes
  • Experience handling Employee conflicts and Employee Relations Investigations
  • Familiarity with Labor Employee Relations and Strategic Planning
  • Proficiency with Workday HRIS and Workday.
    Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of experience in HR, including supervisory experience as this will oversee a team of 3. Additionally, qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar. Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred, but not required.

  • Familiarity with Benefit Functions, Employee Relations, and Hiring Processes.
  • Ability to handle Employee Benefit Plan, Employee Engagement, Employee feedback, and Employee conflicts.
  • Experience with Employee Handbook, Employee Relations Investigations, and Labor Employee Relations.
  • Strong strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Workday HRIS and Workday.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and other compliance standards.
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • Ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including interviewing and testing candidates, and selecting employees to fill vacant positions
  • Advise management on the resolution of employee relations issues
  • Respond to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs
  • Develop and implement location-specific employee training programs
  • Administer performance review program to ensure its effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization
  • Coordinate the administration of Workers’ Compensation program, working closely with Safety personnel and the Workers’ Compensation carrier to manage claims
  • Prepare budget for the human resources department and monitor spending accordingly
  • Analyze collective bargaining agreement and develop an interpretation of its intent, spirit, and terms of the contract to counsel management in the development and application of labor relations policies and practices
  • Supervise members of the Human Resources Department.
