Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Supporting Harvard Protection Services and based in NYC, this position reports directly to the HR Director and will partner closely with Operations Field Management. The Human Resources Manager (Bilingual) will assist the HR Director on the delivery of HPS talent priorities, be the primary employee relations contact and ensure compliance with federal & state and industry regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates as a business partner to regional leadership and management on HR requirements in the delivery of regional clients, goals, and initiatives.
  • Is a managerial member of the Human Resources team accountable for organizational goals and initiatives; contributes to developing departmental goals, objectives and systems within the department.
  • Provides direction to regional management and employee base on all Human Resources initiatives.
  • Serves as role model to regional HR team with the ability to develop and coach the team.
  • Guides employees, supervisors and management through investigative processes of employee relations and makes recommendations when necessary.
  • Develops recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels. Meets with Hiring Managers to develop specific recruitment plans.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Oversees the maintenance of compliance with all employee files
  • Recommends innovative approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department.
  • Manages the maintenance of employee records and data integrity and compiles reports for Management as requested.
  • Facilitates communication among employees and management. Guide Management and employee base on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.
  • Develop and coach regional HR team.
  • Develop training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the division.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or additional experience in lieu of degree
  • A minimum of 10 years HR Generalist experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions and with understanding of implications on the business
  • Coaching and mentoring skills required
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to set expectations and monitor delegated activities
  • Self-starter with excellent dependability and integrity
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws
  • Bilingual language skills; Spanish spoken/written required

Compensation:
Harvard is offering a competitive salary of $100,000 to $108,000 including benefit package with medical, dental, life, and long-term disability (LTD) insurance along with 401K Savings Plan.
