Coach Atlantic Maritime Bus is currently recruiting a Human Resources Manager, in our Halifax, NS location.

As our HR Manager, you’ll be responsible for management, leadership, and supporting the activities of our Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement human resource department, including policies, procedures, and programs that support the organization’s mission and values.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Expand and manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
  • Ensure that all HR-related data is accurately maintained and reported, including employee records, time and attendance, benefit programs and payroll.
  • Expand and maintain relationships with external recruiting/immigration agencies and job boards to ensure that the company has access to a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Develop and manage the company’s employee development programs, including orientation, on-the-job training, leadership development, and skills training.
  • Review compensation and benefits programs, as they are to be competitive in the marketplace and aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on HR matters, including employee relations, discipline, and performance management.
  • Participate in senior leadership meetings and provide strategic input on HR matters.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture that values diversity and teamwork.
  • Monitor employee morale and job satisfaction and develop strategies to address any issues that arise.
