We are seeking an HR Manager (based in Elgin, Illinois) to oversee various human resources programs including payroll, compensation, compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations. In this role, as an influencer within the organization, you will supervise a team and provide general guidance and support in all facets of Human Resources.

MUST HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, preferably with a focus on HR or a business-related field
  • Five or more years of related HR Management experience
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong understanding of all areas of the manufacturing business model
  • Self-driven and proactive, always looking for ways to optimize efficiencies while focused on internal customer satisfaction.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels with a focus on listening to stakeholder, as well as working collaboratively to drive buy-in
  • Strong presentation, meeting/workshop facilitation, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel in the region (<5%)

Responsibilities:

  • Management of compensation planning process including benchmarking of positions
  • Provide management coaching and counsel employees on employee relations issues
  • Participate in global committees and projects; responsible for roll out of respective modules in new system implementation
  • Manage all immigration matters including coordination with legal, government and global resources
  • Provide support to the Vice President of Human Resources as needed for special projects, and also support additional local entities in the region on HR topics
  • Participate in the development of departmental goals, objectives and systems
  • Evaluate existing policies and procedures and recommend necessary changes to remain in compliance with federal, state and local regulations
  • Continually evaluate internal human resources processes and suggest changes to improve efficiencies, if applicable
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll for accuracy and serve as back-up to HR Assistant for payroll processing, reporting and data entry into JE template
  • Assist with benefit plan renewal by evaluating existing plans and making proposals for improvements and managing open enrollment process
  • Develop and implement company-wide wellness initiatives (newsletters, webinars, activities, etc.)
  • Conduct exit interviews and suggest changes to management based on feedback
  • Manage performance review process to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines, including annual and 6-month review process and coordination of skill-gap analysis forms
  • Develop and implement various training programs, including internal presentations related to human resources, compliance and safety
  • Assist in the coordination and planning of company events
  • Other duties as assigned
