MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Management experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in recruitment, selection, retention, training, comp & benefits, and labor relations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with little or no direct supervision
  • Knowledge of labor, worker’s compensation and employment law
  • Excellent diplomatic skills and the ability to use them with all levels within the organization
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Contract negotiations
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics and the ability to analyze data and form conclusions based on facts.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or manufacturing discipline
  • Experience in budget planning

Responsibilities:

The Human Resource Manager is accountable for the development, implementation, and administration of all phases of Human Resources including, but not limited to, employment, compensation, benefits, payroll, organizational development, affirmative action, associate relations, training and staffing. The position also coordinates succession planning for the La Grande, Oregon, site. Additionally, the position is responsible for the implementation of programs and policies to protect the company and its associates in accordance with corporate guidelines and state and federal regulations. This position will be required to work some weekends, evenings and holidays. This is a salaried exempt, on-site position. This position is located in La Grande, Oregon.
