JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Manager oversees the employee life cycle and directs the daily activities of the HR Generalist. The Human Resource Manager will work closely with the Director of Human Resources in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the various services, policies, and programs of the organization’s Human Resources Department.

POSITIONAL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; degree in Human Resources or related field a plus
  • 3-5 or more years’ experience in Training and/or Organizational Development role
  • Skills & Abilities
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within a deadline.
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices
  • Strong understanding of performance management processes, organizational development programs, and utilization and/or development of tools to facilitate each.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; effectively prioritize and manage multiple demands positively.
  • Possess strong customer service skills; promotes quality customer service.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to travel and have a clean driving record in accordance with the Company driving guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Serve as a business partner to the Branch Managers and other managers for HR matters, including but not limited to recruitment, workforce planning, training, etc.
  • Support current and future business needs through developing, engaging, motivating, and preserving human capital.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and orientation activities facilitated by HR Generalist
  • Manage the Company performance appraisal system, provide system training for managers and end-users, and oversee and train on the annual performance appraisal process.
  • As needed and directed, assist in the implementation and facilitation of other performance management programs, such as Individual Development Plans, Performance Improvement Plans, etc.
  • Develop and facilitate leadership and management training as needed.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
