HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Pro Administration is looking for a Full-time Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function in Surrey.
Reporting directly to the HR Director, this role is responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, benefit administration and union negotiations.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with site managers, employees, and the HR team to enforce company policies and procedures, develop and implement innovative HR programs, negotiate collective agreements and cultivate a positive workplace culture. This position plays a key role in enhancing workplace culture by demonstrating a commitment to ensuring HR services are responsive to the needs of the organization and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Responsible for developing and communicating the Human Resources Department Strategic Plan to the HR Team.
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
  • Manage the Immigration Program by working with immigration consultants to get workers to Canada to help with the staff shortages.
  • Partner with managers to develop recruitment plans for each facility.
  • Develop sound relationships with managers to understand business needs and deliver effective and efficient HR services.
  • Respond and provide direction and support to HR team on Labour Relations Issues within the Group of Companies accordingly, including;
  • Performance Management
  • Investigations
  • Progressive Corrective Discipline
  • Liaises with the Union (when applicable)
  • Lead negotiations with unions to establish and maintain collective bargaining agreements.
  • Draft all terminations for final approval by Director of HR.
  • Manage policy including development and management of HR company policies and procedures; facilitating and coordinating policy roll out for new operational policies.
  • Oversee various company programs such as the Talent Management Program, Benefits Plan and Educational Assistance Program, while identifying and developing new programs to meet company needs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve HR programs.
  • Develop and oversee the retention plan and a comprehensive compensation plan for management team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
