Description:

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to join our team at our head office located in Red Deer, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, developing and implementing HR strategies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
The Human Resource Manager will act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all HR-related matters. This role requires a dynamic leader who is passionate about people, can foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in progressive Human Resource roles.
  • Payroll accreditation .
  • Previous experience with Temporary Foreign Workers Program (LMIA) is considered as an asset
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation considered an asset.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Thorough knowledge of employment legislation, as well as trends and challenges related to HR.
  • Strong people management skills with ability to build, coach and engage a high-performing team
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the human resources function including recruitment, onboarding, training performance management and employee relations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all HR-related matters.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to integrate new employees.
  • Monitor and enhance employee retention strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Manage employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs.
  • Promote continuous learning and development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee leadership development initiatives and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare required reports.
  • Drive organizational change initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
