CAA Centre – is one of the largest indoor/outdoor facilities of its kind in Canada with four National East Coast Hockey League-sized ice surfaces and almost one million visitors yearly. The facility hosts hockey games, lacrosse, concerts, trade shows, circus acts, conferences, and many community events.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Manager works three days per week on-site and is responsible for providing Human Resources, Payroll, Training, and Health and Safety services to the CAA Centre employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College/University degree/diploma and five to ten years experience in Human Resources.
  • Previous experience processing payroll and year-end using Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Employment Standards, Human Rights, Health and Safety, AODA and Payroll legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when processing payroll.
  • Ability to operate a computer and related software (word, excel, payroll and timekeeping software).
  • Written communication skills including the ability to compose letters, memos, policies and procedures.
  • Oral communication skills required to conduct training sessions, interview potential employees and conduct investigations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Joint Health and Safety Certification would be considered an asset.
