Tasks
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing and resolving inquiries, concerns, and conflicts in a fair and timely manner. Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, personal information, and performance reviews. Manage HR databases and systems to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Ensure the company’s HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with German labour laws and regulations. Provide guidance and updates on legal requirements and changes.
- Oversee and manage the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries, taxes, and other deductions. Collaborate with the finance department to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Support the recruitment process by collaborating with hiring managers, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding of new employees. Ensure a smooth and welcoming transition for new hires.
- Foster team collaboration and actively work on building a supportive and inclusive work culture that drives company growth and success.
- Lead or participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes, employee satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of work experience as an HR Manager, HR Coordinator, or similar role, preferably in a start-up or fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and current regulations in Germany. In-depth knowledge of German employment regulations.
- Proven experience in payroll management and HR administration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German (native or advanced professional experience) and English.
