Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading the Human Resources Department, including overseeing payroll, training, and overall HR operations within the organization. Acting as a trusted advisor, this role provides strategic guidance to executives, managers, and employees on company policies and compliance with provincial and federal legislation. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, this is a full-time, on-site position requiring a proactive and hands-on approach.

Responsibilities:

As a Human Resources Manager, you will take on a variety of operational and strategic responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Leading a team of HR specialists across all areas of recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention.
  • Providing coaching and resources to managers and employees on career development, compensation, staffing strategies, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of the company’s HR strategy to align with business priorities and enhance the employee experience.
  • Identifying and addressing training gaps by developing and delivering effective programs.
  • Overseeing the management and updating of company policies and procedures using tools like SharePoint and Drata.
  • Serving as chair or member of various company committees.
  • Investigating employee relations issues promptly and with sensitivity.
  • Managing the company’s health insurance program.
  • Ensuring compliance with HR-related policies and procedures through regular audits and reviews.
  • Supporting client-initiated audits related to HR standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Compiling and analyzing HR metrics, reporting trends, and providing actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Promoting and ensuring adherence to the company’s information security requirements.
  • Handling other ad-hoc HR tasks as assigned.
