Position Overview
This position will be responsible for any planning regarding the human resources and development of a company’s workforce, and they must be able to transform all policies into executable plans and departmental procedures. He/she will be responsible for managing and coordinating the company’s Human Resources Business Partner function to meet the company’s business requirements. To align and execute the HR strategy for the Business which supports the South Africa HR strategy to ensure that business objectives are met.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provides coaching and advice to management on a variety of people issues regarding personnel practices and employment law.
- Challenges the organizational structure of the internal client and proposes changes.
- Works within corporate strategies and policy frameworks to design and implement human resources strategies.
- Develops guidelines and procedures which assist line management in implementing human resources programs.
- Ensures compliance of the organization’s practices with applicable labour legislation and collective labour agreements.
- Manages and motivates subordinate staff; reviews and assesses performance, builds employee capacity.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
- Secures professional legal support from internal or external legal counsel as required.
