Description:

RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Facilitates all functions of the human resources department in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  2. Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of personnel policies and procedures. Also responsible for maintaining personnel records.
  3. Coordinate the advertising, recruitment, initial screening and appropriately refer candidates to fill approved positions.
  4. Responsible for new-employee orientation and on-boarding process.
  5. Oversee the employee performance review process and related documentation.
  6. Manage the development, revision and maintenance of the job description process.
  7. Counsel employees on job-related issues affecting their performance.
  8. Oversee the planning and coordination of training, development activities, and employee appreciation for the bank.
  9. Facilitate/organize monthly staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars that may include travel.
  10. Keep informed on trends in personnel administration.
  11. Complies with all policies, practices and procedures. Reports all irregular activities to supervisor and/or the President & CEO.
  12. Participates in proactive team effort to achieve departmental and Bank goals.
  13. Provides leadership to others by example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  14. Cross train with Accounting Officer on payroll functions and benefit administration.
  15. Complete all initial and annual training requirements as outlined by ASBT.
  16. Perform all other duties as required, consistent with the goals, objectives and responsibilities of the Administration Department.
    Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors’ degree in human resources, personnel or business administration, or related field.
  2. Financial Institution background and PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
  3. Background in hiring and training systems would be helpful.
  4. Good human resources skills to effectively direct others, make decisions and communicate clearly.
  5. Basic knowledge of personnel administration principles, wage and salary administration, job analysis, compensation, employment and other labor laws and retirement plans and programs.
  6. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  7. Good organization and time management skills necessary.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Confidentiality and tactfulness in dealing with bank and customer information is mandatory.
  2. Ability to conduct relationships with co-workers, customers, the community and the overall public in a manner which will enhance the Bank’s image and comprehensive marketing effort.
  3. Will be called upon from time to time to participate with community organizations and projects
