Description:
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Facilitates all functions of the human resources department in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of personnel policies and procedures. Also responsible for maintaining personnel records.
- Coordinate the advertising, recruitment, initial screening and appropriately refer candidates to fill approved positions.
- Responsible for new-employee orientation and on-boarding process.
- Oversee the employee performance review process and related documentation.
- Manage the development, revision and maintenance of the job description process.
- Counsel employees on job-related issues affecting their performance.
- Oversee the planning and coordination of training, development activities, and employee appreciation for the bank.
- Facilitate/organize monthly staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars that may include travel.
- Keep informed on trends in personnel administration.
- Complies with all policies, practices and procedures. Reports all irregular activities to supervisor and/or the President & CEO.
- Participates in proactive team effort to achieve departmental and Bank goals.
- Provides leadership to others by example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Cross train with Accounting Officer on payroll functions and benefit administration.
- Complete all initial and annual training requirements as outlined by ASBT.
- Perform all other duties as required, consistent with the goals, objectives and responsibilities of the Administration Department.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors’ degree in human resources, personnel or business administration, or related field.
- Financial Institution background and PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
- Background in hiring and training systems would be helpful.
- Good human resources skills to effectively direct others, make decisions and communicate clearly.
- Basic knowledge of personnel administration principles, wage and salary administration, job analysis, compensation, employment and other labor laws and retirement plans and programs.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Good organization and time management skills necessary.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Confidentiality and tactfulness in dealing with bank and customer information is mandatory.
- Ability to conduct relationships with co-workers, customers, the community and the overall public in a manner which will enhance the Bank’s image and comprehensive marketing effort.
- Will be called upon from time to time to participate with community organizations and projects
