Description:
Sieda Community Action is seeking applicants for the position of Human Resources Office. Under the direction of the Executive Director the Human Resources Officer performs a variety of confidential, administrative, and human resources related tasks to support the overall responsibilities of the Central Administration unit.

- BA in Human Resources and two years’ experience in the HR field or

Summary:
Under the direction of the executive director the human resources officer performs a variety of confidential, administrative, and human resources related tasks to support the overall responsibilities of the central administration unit.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret most complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to customer/staff complaints.

Responsibilities:
DUTIES:
- Performs complex duties requiring advanced skills.
- Ensure compliance of all federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with the CSBG organizational standards in the human resources and board of directors’ categories.
- Coordinate and participate in the hiring process to include; interviews, background checks and employment offers.
- Assist supervisors with the agency’s human resources practices and procedures.
- Ensure consistency of personnel related documentation as requested.
- Provide or coordinate supervisory training related to agency’s human resources practices and procedures.
- Support employees by answering questions related to the agency’s human resources processes, procedures, and policies.
- Conduct new employee orientation sessions and complete onboarding paperwork.
- Conduct exit interview meetings.
- Maintain and process employee payroll and time reporting system.
- Maintain personnel files following established guidelines and retention policies.
- Maintain personnel policy and procedure manual.
- Process employee insurance and reconcile accounts. Conduct open enrollment and update employee’s benefit changes.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of job descriptions.
- Process unemployment, FMLA and worker’s compensation paperwork and tracking.
- Serve as the agency’s Equal Employment Opportunity Officer and complete the annual eeo1 report.
- Various personnel tracking and reporting as requested.
- Collaborate with fiscal staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the central administration unit.
- Other duties determined necessary to support the mission, vision, and goals of the agency.
