JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial Human Resources professional to join our Burlington, MA team. In this role, you will manage all aspects of HR operations, including compensation, benefits, HRIS and employee relations, and partner collaboratively as part of an internal operations team. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will enhance and administer HR policies, programs, and initiatives that align with the company’s goals and values. Specific focus will be on managing and ensuring competitive compensation and benefits, supporting promotions and incentives, coordinating with payroll administration, managing and reporting employee data and systems, and onboarding, retention, and offboarding.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in human resources operations, including compensation, benefits, HR information systems, and performance management processes.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is highly desirable. Must possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work with moderate supervision.
  • Experience working in a professional services setting strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and to work independently.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and HR information systems, as well as ability to quickly learn and leverage technology; user experience with Paylocity highly valued.
  • Experience with benefits renewals and open enrollment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with and advise senior management on all HR operations matters.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employees regarding compensation, payroll and benefits, policy and other employment-related questions and concerns.
  • Lead annual benefits package renewal process and educate senior management on available options and costs. Manage open enrollment process and communications.
  • With guidance from Head of HR, enhance job levels, compensation ranges, and careers ladders.
  • Manage execution of performance review process and any compensation adjustments.
  • Partner with employment counsel and managers on employee relations and policy-related matters.
  • Coordinate with payroll manager to ensure proper submissions, filings and reports.
  • Administer leaves of absence, compensation changes, benefits and personal data changes, onboarding process, and unemployment claims.
  • Enhance and maintain employment-related forms, including offer letters, benefits and leave communications, performance-related notifications, compensation increase letters, and separation notices.
  • Maintain and communicate specific HR related policies and procedures.
  • Regularly maintain employee personnel records and ensure they contain required documentation.
  • Track Paid Time Off, sick leave and other leaves of absence.
  • Coordinate with talent acquisition and managers on candidate, new hire and onboarding process.
  • Assist in planning of employee events and propose and maintain employee engagement activities calendar.
  • Prepare and manage employee training calendar. Ensure that employees are up to date on required safety, employment, and on-site training.
  • Stay updated on HR and employment related trends, legal updates, resources, and technology.
