We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources & Payroll Assistant to join our team!
The Human Resources & Payroll Assistant will primarily be responsible for processing payroll for the plant of 160 employees and performing other Human Resources tasks as assigned. This is a part-time opportunity onsite at our manufacturing facility in Brampton, Canada. The schedule is 8:00 am -5:00 pm, Monday - Wednesday .

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer bi-weekly payroll utilizing Dayforce.
  • Maintains compliance with Canadian compensation laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks .
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of compensation related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Experience utilizing the Dayforce system.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment as well as being an effective team player.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 2-3 years Payroll experience required.
    Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ( schedule may change to meet business demands
