Description:
Nashville Wire Products is seeking an Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist to manage recruiting, on-boarding, and HR processes for our Frankfort, Kentucky location . This position is responsible for the full recruiting life cycle for 2 shift manufacturing operation with approximately 60 employees including but not limited to: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommending external and/or internal candidates, background/drug screening and new hire orientation and benefits paperwork, and employee morale activities.
This is a salaried overtime exempt position with salary range of $75,000-$80,000 DOE. This is not a hybrid or remote position. This position has a base schedule of Monday through Friday from 5:30 am until 3:00 pm, with additional flexibility as required to meet business demands and support 3rd shift employees. Full time benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance availability the first of month after 30 days of service, 40 hours vacation the first of month after 30 days and an additional 40 hours at 6 months of service, 401k with 100% match after 1 year of full time service, 9 paid holidays, employer paid life insurance as well as short and long term disability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)
- Partner with Plant Manager to address staffing needs while ensuring a quality candidate experience.
- Source and identify candidates using internal and external databases, job boards, social media, networking, employment ads, career fairs, job placement services, recruiting agencies, etc.
- Review applications for employment, comparing qualifications and salary requests to posted requirements.
- Maintain applicant tracking logs to ensure accurate and up to date information for compliance with state and federal employment law.
- Conduct pre-screen calls; Schedule and conduct interviews with candidates; identify qualified candidates who can successfully align with production requirements, leadership model and core values.
- Develop a competitive offer of employment. Present selected candidate with offer package including basic job duties and responsibilities, work schedules and conditions, compensation and benefits, policies, promotional opportunities and other information as relevant.
- Conduct full on-boarding flow up to and including New Hire Orientation and Benefits Enrollments and coordinating arrangements for candidate’s first day of employment
- Maintain community relationship and company image by participating in job fairs and school career days.
- Additional duties include employee communications, managing time and attendance, responding to questions on human resources policies and procedures, safety program management, ensuring compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management or at least 5 years related experience and training as a generalist in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Full-cycle recruitment experience in a production environment is required.
Prior experience in all areas of Human Resources required including time and attendance, leave management, employee morale event planning, policy enforcement in a multi shift manufacturing environment is required.
Proficient use of Microsoft Suite applications such as Word and Excel, and the ability to obtain HRIS and Payroll system knowledge. Prior experience with Kronos, ADP, UKG, and/or applicant tracking system preferred.
