Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accurately and efficiently respond to basic HR queries that come into the team, ensuring quality and timely attention.
  • Manage key administrative functions that support the HR team such as procurement, report preparation and record management.
  • Liaise with senior member of the HR team to prepare responses for more complex client matters and/or support the respective Assistant Director to resolve the matter.
  • Maintain HR records, files, registers, intranet pages and databases, as well as HR forms and templates.
  • Assist with recruitment processes.
  • Lead Induction and Orientation programs.
  • Respond to Learning Management System (Learnhub) enquiries offering advice and training to strengthen client skills to use this important learning tool.
  • Contribute to the delivery of HR projects and programs where requested, including support with coordination of events for Diversity and Inclusion, Learning and Wellbeing.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and bring insights and suggestions to HR team meetings to inform on emerging areas of client need.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director HR in relation to progress reports on the Workforce Strategy Program Plan and other strategic whole of Agency people matters for the Executive team.

We are seeking candidates who possess strong organisational and interpersonal skills, looking for an opportunity to be a part of a high performing HR team. Candidates should have strong customer service skills and the ability to establish good relationships with staff and stakeholders across the workplace at all levels. Experience working in a HR team would be highly regarded but is not essential. Fundamentally, a strong work ethic and a desire to work in a team that provides HR support and service is key.

Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline is preferable or a willingness to undertake further studies in the HR field would also be highly regarded.
You must hold Australian citizenship and be prepared to travel interstate from time to time as required. ARPANSA requires all new employees to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance as a condition of engagement.

Responsibilities:

With broad guidance and direction from senior members of the Human Resources team, this role is responsible for providing foundational human resources support and advice to clients across the agency. This is a critical role in the team as it has a primary interface with all clients across the agency and the opportunity for involvement in matters across the full spectrum of HR. Areas of primary focus for this role include: support and training of staff on the learning management platform (Learnhub); triaging and/or resolution of all general HR inquires received via central HR inbox; supporting and coordinating events relating to; whole of agency training; graduate programs; Reconciliation Action Planning ; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Agency level induction programs for new employees.
This role is a key resource to the HR team, offering an opportunity for the successful incumbent to gain knowledge and experience across the full remit of Human Resources, working nimbly and comprehensively across a diverse program of HR work.
