JOB DESCRIPTION

Human Resources Services (HRS) is an internal function providing global operations and business support across Brookfield’s lines of business.
As a member of the HR Service Desk (HRSD), the Senior Analyst will primarily be responsible for managing the department’s ticket queue in the case management system, triaging incoming work, and resolving tickets, queries, and requests related to HR Services (HRS) program administration. This includes providing day-to-day HR administrative support in various HR functions such as HRIS, reporting, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and payroll. The primary responsibility is to ensure quality customer service to both employees and the larger global HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level (Tier 1) Workday customer service and troubleshooting support to employees and various teams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend solutions, and contribute to the implementation of best practices within HRSD.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for complex issues, addressing underlying challenges.
  • Coordinate with various HRS teams (Payroll, Benefits, HRIS) to resolve tickets and requests.
  • Record and communicate problems, situations, and solutions to coordinate with the global team.
  • Provide onboarding support to new hires in both technical and administrative capacities.
  • Support HRS annual processes such as the Annual Talent Cycle, Open Enrollment, and Annual RRSP Employer Contribution.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined administrative processes and procedures.
  • Support data entry and auditing activities to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Update and maintain project documentation and training materials.
  • Provide support on complex projects, assisting in managing project scope and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Support the allocation of resources and balancing workloads among team members when needed.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Post-secondary education (University or College graduate).
  • Minimum 4 years of administrative experience in a Human Resources capacity in a shared services environment.
  • Experience working in a global team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Experience with an HRIS in a high-volume shared services environment (Workday experience is an asset).
  • Experience with a case management system (SolarWinds experience is an asset).
  • Conscientious with a strong attention to accuracy and details.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to juggle multiple projects/priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to generate trust, confidence, and credibility.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound decision-making, considering team and organizational goals.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
