ABOUT US:
The Social Policy and Industrial Relations (SPIR) Team is part of the UK Commercial Aircraft Human Resources function with the primary roles of:
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and external social policy;
- Adapting Company policy and processes to ensure effective employee relations;
- Providing advice and solutions on industrial/employee relations topics.
As part of this, engaging with stakeholders across the Company, including the Trade Union, is a key part of our activity within a dynamic environment - no day is the same!
REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As an intern in the Social Policy and Industrial Relations team, you will:
- Develop an understanding of Social Policy and Industrial Relations in a transnational company;
- Gain knowledge of the Employment Law and see first hand how it drives business operations day to day;
- Be involved in various projects and topics across the employment law and industrial/employee relations spectrum, giving lots of opportunity and experience in this field of human resources (HR).
Your typical day may consist of:
- Providing support in grievance and disciplinary procedures;
- Developing and writing social/employment policies;
- Researching, analysing trends and benchmarking of employment policy and law;
- You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects;
- You will gain stakeholder management skills working closely with HR Business Partners, Trade Union representatives, and senior management.
