JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking a temporary Human Resources (HR) Specialist to join our HR Shared Services team at our Chicago, IL headquarters. Working with HR leaders, the HR Specialist primarily facilitates preboarding and onboarding processes across multiple states and locations within the Cresco Labs enterprise. The HR Specialist is responsible for managing a variety of processes and HR duties in support of HR Shared Services and administration, special projects, and recruiting efforts.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 2+ years of demonstrable experience across HR functions / areas of expertise
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Ability to use general office equipment and troubleshooting methods
- Excellent communicator and active listener
- Must be extremely detail-oriented
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Flexible, resourceful, and adaptable to change

Responsibilities:
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Partner closely with Recruiters and HR Business Partners in coordination of the onboarding processes for new hires, including completion of paperwork, meeting compliance requirements, HRIS enrollment, orientation, and other processes.
- Manage a unified, consistent, and outstanding onboarding experience for new hires
- Manage the organization, setup, tracking, and candidate experience of various background check and badging processes, in accordance with state regulations.
- Efficiently uses and supports all tools used in preboarding and onboarding (Greenhouse, Law Logix, Checkr, etc.) to optimize work.
- Manage onboarding trackers and related reporting; identify opportunities to gain efficiencies
- Maintain and follow Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation related to HR processes.
- Ad hoc support of enterprise-wide HR processes, as needed.
- Prepare audits and reports and present findings, as requested.
- Responsible for administrative HR project support and special projects, as needed.
- Provide coverage for other team members when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
