Responsibilities:

DUTIES

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Responsible for the internal and external recruitment and subsequent placement of Central Office and VCS Title 38 canteen management and hourly rate positions.
  • Evaluates applications and resumes using VHA and VCS qualification standards, verifying eligibility, and rating and ranking applicants.
  • Drafting and preparing announcements.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving difficult and controversial internal and external staffing and placement issues.
  • Ensures qualifications, and rating and ranking of applicants for employment or promotion, are correctly completed.
  • Initiate notifications relative to qualification determinations, selections/non-selections, rapid background checks, national background investigations, reference checks, requests for additional data, etc.
  • Setting pay for Title 5 and Title 38 employees, using multiple pay scales and various information.
