Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work with participants who require one-on-one attention.
Plans and develops new learning material and lesson plans to present to participants daily. Use different learning styles, incorporate role play, provide creative learning and practice activities that challenges participants to go outside their comfort zone to gain greater autonomy.
Collaborate with other team members to exchange innovative ideas that align with Key Industries’ mission. Work collaboratively with participants and all the players on the participants Case Management Team by communicating changes and progress with those involved in the process.
Complete a daily schedule on participants.
Complete Individualized Service Plans, as well as documenting progress, and completing reports.
Support participants in the community by exploring leisure, recreational, entertainment and volunteer opportunities.
Problem solves and address issues when they occur. Encourage self-advocacy in addition to providing emotional support and encouragement when needed and be comfortable discussing sensitive subjects.
Assist with conflict resolution while demonstrating clear, and consistent professional boundaries, be consistent when following through, in addition to having the ability to cope with, and handle stressful situations, and to adapt to sudden changes.
