HVAC and Refrigeration Technician

We are looking for HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to join our team. Most of our work is in Auckland, however occasional travel may be required to other regions.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Refrigeration and Airconditioning Qualification. Minimum 3 years proven work experience in the listed tasks. You must have a full driver’s license. Heavy lifting is required. Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.

Working from blueprints/design specification or written instructions to install or repair HVAC systems. Using hand and power tools in order to drill holes, install brackets, cutting, bending, threading, brazing and joining pipes. Assemble and install pipe work to connect equipment and ensuring aligment and accuracy of fit. Fabricate, assemble and install duct work and chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools and equipment. Install, repair and test various components including motors, evaporators, switches and gauges, compressors, copper lines for steam, gas refrigerant, compressed air, oil and water. Install electrical wiring and controls and test for proper operation. Assemble and Install pipe work for accurate fit of HVAC system. Check existing HVAC systems for leaks and faults and make adjustments where necessary. Repairing and maintening existing HVAC systems by diagnosing faults and repairing or replacing defective parts. Testing HVAC Systems to determine necessary repairs and recording causes of troubleshooting and action taken. Maintaining HVAC systems, adjusting controls and mechanisms and re-assembling when necessary. Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
