Air Temp Mechanical Services, Inc. is Connecticut’s largest independent HVAC contractor. We are a full-service mechanical contracting firm that specializes HVAC, building management systems (BMS), energy efficiency and advanced energy solutions for commercial buildings and industrial buildings, we design, implement, and evaluate programs that help our clients achieve their energy efficiency goals. We are seeking a dedicated HVAC Project Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in the HVAC Industry
  • Relevant and current knowledge to the current industry standards of practice in the HVAC engineering field
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, schedule based on the workload, and monitor the assigned HVAC projects
  • Interact with clients interpreting needs and requirements for the project
  • Develop specifications for the project
  • Closely work with Project Managers and Senior Project Engineer to ensure proper functioning of the project
  • Assist in mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for the project
  • Participate in design progress and design coordination meetings
  • Support the Senior Project Team in the overall implementation of the HVAC engineering strategy and framework for designated projects
  • Communicate all systems, design information, procedures and quality systems to sub-contractor
  • Utilize AutoCAD to develop bid documents including project specifications and detailed engineering drawings
  • Develop sheet metal, plumbing and HVAC pipe shop drawings
  • Other duties as needed
