HVAC PROJECT ENGINEER

Red Rock Consultants are currently working with a Mechanical services & contracting business serving retail, leisure, commercial, and public sector customers throughout the UK based in Walsal.
They are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of a variety of mechanical projects, thanks to client expansion and newly secured contracts.
You will oversee Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), and Hot & Cold Water Services, This pivotal role involves organising people, tasks, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Proven experience in the air conditioning industry with knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Familiarity with major suppliers and equipment in the HVAC market.
• Strong project management skills, from conception to completion.
• ONC/HNC qualification in Building Services (HVAC) preferred.
• CSCS Card holder and experience working with CAD drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and a team player capable of working independently.

• Manage the installation of HVAC and mechanical projects across the UK and Ireland.
• Attend client site meetings, surveys, bid proposals, and assist with contract negotiations.
• Plan and manage resources, including subcontract and direct labour.
• Procure materials and ensure all works are completed snag-free, on time, and within budget.
• Create risk assessments, method statements, and operation & maintenance manuals.
• Handle contract variations and oversee projects ranging from £20k to £1m.
• Act as a proactive representative of the company, maintaining strong professional relationships.
