Description:
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Journeyman to join our team. As an HVAC Service Journeyman, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential properties. Your expertise in HVAC systems and your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently will ensure the optimal performance and satisfaction of our customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- HVAC Service Journeyman
- Valid HVAC Journeyman license.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician, with a strong track record of successfully diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including their components, functions, and operation principles.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and tight spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Additional certifications or training in specialized HVAC systems or technologies.
- Experience with advanced HVAC control systems and building automation.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics on HVAC systems to identify the root cause of malfunctions and system failures.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and valves.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure their efficient operation and prevent future breakdowns.
- Clean and adjust system components, including coils, filters, and ducts.
- Test HVAC systems to verify proper functioning after repairs or maintenance.
- Utilize various tools and equipment, such as multimeters, pressure gauges, and refrigerant recovery machines, to perform diagnostics and repairs.
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams to guide repairs and installations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, explaining system operation, and offering maintenance advice.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of service calls and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, including repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and relevant codes and regulations.
